From Jakarta, Bali, Surabaya and other cities
Students fly from Jakarta, Denpasar in Bali, Surabaya and other cities. Some routes are direct and some change planes on the way, so total travel time varies. Please check your own ticket.
Indonesia has several time zones. Jakarta is on UTC+7 all year, and the country does not use daylight saving time. Sydney is on UTC+10 in Australian winter and UTC+11 in daylight saving time, which usually runs from October to April. So Sydney is 3 hours ahead of Jakarta in winter and 4 hours ahead in daylight saving time. If you fly from another city, check the local time zone.
Landing at T1
All international flights use Terminal 1. You clear immigration, collect your bags and pass biosecurity. Declare food and plant items honestly, because Australia has strict rules.
Your driver is waiting in the arrivals area. We track your flight number, so a delay does not change the fixed fare.
Vehicle size for your bags
A Premium Sedan such as a Lexus ES, Camry or similar suits one or two people with up to two large bags and one carry-on. A Premium SUV such as a Kluger, Lexus RX, RAV4 or similar suits three large bags. A People Mover such as a Kia Carnival or similar suits four or more large bags, or bulky items.
Enter your real luggage in the booking. If you bring boxes of food, books or gifts for a host family, add them to the count.
Parents booking from Indonesia
Parents can book the whole trip from home. Add the student's flight number, arrival date and the Sydney address, then pay online by card using the secure link sent by SMS and email. The fare is in Australian dollars, and your bank may convert it from rupiah.

Arriving before orientation week
Many students arrive one or two weeks before classes start. Use that time to find your way around, set up a phone plan and visit campus. If you stay in short-term accommodation first, enter that address for the first ride.
When you move to your permanent place, you can book another fixed-fare trip within Sydney.
The ride to the airport at term end
For your trip home, book from your Sydney address to T1. Add your flight time and luggage. The fare is fixed before the day and there is no meter.
Booking early is wise in busy holiday periods, when many students fly home.

What if the flight lands late at night or very early in the morning?
We track your flight number. The driver adjusts to the real landing time, and the fixed fare stays the same.
How do I choose the right vehicle size?
Enter your true number of passengers and bags in the calculator and it will suggest a size. Vehicles are assigned by availability, so the make can vary, which is why we always say "or similar".
Can I book the trip home at the end of term now?
Yes. Book from your Sydney address to T1 in advance and pick a time with a comfortable margin before check-in.
How long is the flight from Indonesia to Sydney?
