Each year, many students travel from cities across China to study in Sydney. Their parents often want to know the arrival is arranged. A pre-booked fixed fare lets a family plan the first ride, with no meter and no surprises.

From Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and beyond
Students fly to Sydney from many Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu, and from Hong Kong. Flight times vary by city and route. A direct flight is commonly somewhere between 9 and 12 hours. A flight with a stop takes longer.
China uses one time zone, UTC+8, and does not change its clocks. Sydney is 2 hours ahead in Australian winter and 3 hours ahead in daylight saving time, which usually runs from October to April.
Landing and finding your driver
You arrive at International Terminal T1. Then you clear immigration, collect your bags and pass biosecurity. Please follow the signs and declare food and plant items honestly.
We track your flight number and the driver meets you in the arrivals area. If the plane is late, the fixed fare does not change. We send you the meeting details before you land.
A parent books the ride from home
Parents in China can make the booking for a student. Enter the flight number, the arrival date and the Sydney address, and put a contact number and email in the form. Then forward the confirmation to the student.

Large luggage and group arrivals
Some students bring two or more large bags, and some families travel together for the first week. A Premium Sedan fits one or two people with up to two large bags and one carry-on. For three large bags, or three to four people, choose a Premium SUV such as a Kluger, Lexus RX, RAV4 or similar. For four or more large bags, choose a People Mover such as a Kia Carnival or similar.
Enter the true number of people and bags so the correct vehicle is assigned.
Moving in and orientation week
Some students go to a hotel or short-term rental first. Then they move to student accommodation before orientation. You can book each trip separately at a fixed fare.
Give the exact building name and street address. Many Sydney student buildings have several entrances.
Paying by card and going home at term end
You pay online by card using the secure link we send by SMS and email. The fare is in Australian dollars, and your bank may convert it from yuan.
At the end of term, book your Sydney address to T1. Add your flight time and choose a pickup with plenty of margin.
