Bahrain to Sydney: what to expect
Most travellers from Bahrain connect through another city on the way to Sydney, so the total journey is long. Times vary by route and layover. Check your ticket for your own schedule.
Bahrain uses UTC+3 all year and does not change its clocks. Sydney is 7 hours ahead in Australian winter and 8 hours ahead in daylight saving time. Landing in the middle of the local night is common after such a trip.
A calm start at T1
International flights arrive at Sydney Airport Terminal 1. The student will clear immigration, collect luggage and pass through biosecurity. Then the driver is waiting in the arrivals area.

What to tell us when you book
You will need the flight number, the arrival date, the number of passengers and bags, and the Sydney address. If the student does not yet have a permanent address, use the first address they will stay at.

Bags, family and vehicle size
Students often bring more than they expect. Two large bags and a small bag fit a Premium Sedan. Three large bags suit a Premium SUV such as a Kluger, Lexus RX, RAV4 or similar. Four or more large bags, or a family with the student, suit a People Mover such as a Kia Carnival or similar.
Choose the right size when you book. It is easier than changing the vehicle at the airport.
First week and moving-in day
Some students go straight to student accommodation. Some stay in a hotel while they wait for the room to be ready. You can book the airport ride to either. A second fixed-fare taxi for moving day is easy to add.
If your student wants a driver to hold a name sign in the terminal, add the A$25 meet-and-greet extra.
Online payment and term-end travel
After booking, we send a secure link by SMS and email so you can pay online by card. The fare is in Australian dollars, and your bank may convert it from dinars.
At the end of term, book the return trip from the Sydney address to the airport. Add the flight time and choose a pickup with plenty of margin.
