Where the Overseas Passenger Terminal is
The Overseas Passenger Terminal is on the western side of Circular Quay, in The Rocks, next to the Harbour Bridge approach. It handles cruise ships berthed at the Quay, close to the ferry wharves, the train station and the CBD. Larger ships may use White Bay instead, and berths can change, so confirm the terminal name on your boarding documents before you book.
Embarkation timing and approach
Cruise lines normally set a check-in window on your documents. Book a pickup that lands you inside that window, and add a buffer for the busy roads around the Quay. If you are coming in from the western suburbs or the Central Coast, the drive can vary with traffic and events, and pickups on weekends or event days may need extra time.
Give your exact street address when you book. The drop-off is at the terminal, and your driver will follow the traffic arrangements in place on the day. Because you have a fixed fare, you can concentrate on getting your luggage out of the boot instead of the meter.
Luggage, vehicles and the load you bring
Cruise holidays usually mean full-size suitcases, so our booking form assumes at least one large bag and one carry-on per passenger for cruise trips. A premium sedan suits one or two passengers with moderate luggage, an SUV suits three or four passengers with more bags, and a people mover suits larger parties or oversize items such as prams and boxes. Vehicles are late-model Lexus or Toyota premium cars or similar, assigned by dispatch.

Is OPT the same as White Bay?
No. They are two different cruise terminals in Sydney. OPT is at Circular Quay and White Bay is at Balmain.
