The question every traveller asks first is the right one: what's the Sydney airport taxi fare? On a metered taxi you genuinely can't know until the trip ends. Use the calculator below for your exact suburb, or read on for how the fixed fare is set.

Enter your suburb and vehicle size to see your exact Sydney airport taxi fare. It's the all-in figure — tolls and the airport access fee are already inside it. Prices are fixed for standard sedan bookings with normal luggage; SUV and people mover options may cost more depending on passengers, luggage and pickup requirements.
How your Sydney airport taxi fare is calculated
The fixed fare is built from the distance and typical drive time of your route, plus tolls on the agreed path and the airport access fee — then it's locked. For our most popular corridors we publish hand-set fixed fares (the city, Parramatta, Bankstown and more) that already fold in tolls and surcharges, so the headline number is genuinely all-in.
A Premium Sedan is the base fare. A Premium SUV is about 15% more and a People Mover about 50% more, reflecting the larger vehicle — the calculator shows each so you choose with the price in front of you. Prices are fixed for standard sedan bookings with normal luggage; SUV and people-mover options may cost more depending on passengers and bags.
Example fixed fares from Sydney Airport
To give a sense of the Sydney airport taxi fare by area: the city is from A$79, Parramatta from A$128, Bankstown from A$109, Liverpool from A$139, and Campbelltown from A$169. White Bay cruise terminal from the city is from A$45. These are fixed fares, not estimates — the figure you see is the figure you pay.
What's included, and what's extra
Tolls on the agreed route and the airport access fee are inside the fixed fare. Shown before you confirm: a +A$25 airport meet-and-greet, a +A$15 second pickup, and free baby capsules or boosters on request. A fixed night loading applies between 10pm and 6am. Nothing is added after the trip.
Does the vehicle change the fare
Yes — the vehicle size is the main thing that moves the fixed fare. A Lexus-or-similar Premium Sedan is the base; a Premium SUV and a Kia Carnival people mover carry set multipliers shown live on the calculator. The make is always softened with 'or similar' because dispatch assigns the actual car — what's fixed is the fare, not the badge.
Reviews
We don't post fare-related testimonials we can't stand behind, so the reviews here are verified customers only, gathered by email after each trip. The recurring theme is simple: the fare quoted was the fare charged, which is exactly the point of this page.

The honest answers.
What is the Sydney airport taxi fare to the city?
From A$79 as a fixed fare, quoted and locked before you book — no meter and no surge. Inner suburbs are often less; the calculator on this page shows your exact figure.
Is the Sydney airport taxi fare fixed or metered?
Fixed. We quote a single price for your route in writing before pickup, so traffic, wait time and the time of day don't change what you pay.
Does the fare include tolls and the airport fee?
Yes — tolls on the agreed route and the airport access fee are inside the fixed fare. There's no separate surcharge tacked on at the end.
Why might an SUV or people mover fare be higher?
Larger vehicles carry a fixed multiplier — roughly +15% for a Premium SUV and +50% for a People Mover — because of the size and capacity. The calculator shows each option's fixed fare so you can choose.
Is there a night surcharge on the fare?
A fixed night loading applies between 10pm and 6am and is shown in your quote before you confirm. It's a set amount, not a surge that moves with demand.
Can I see the fare before I commit?
Always. The whole point is that you see the Sydney airport taxi fare and approve it before any booking — the A$10 deposit (which comes off the fare) only applies once you choose to lock it in.
