Blue Mountains Day Trip from Sydney — a fixed fare for the day
A private driver for the whole day, a fixed price for the whole trip. We collect you from your Sydney hotel or home, run you up to Katoomba and the lookouts, hold the car while you walk, and bring you home — all on your schedule, all for one fare agreed in writing before you leave. No meter ticking while you stop for photos at Echo Point. No surge on the drive home. The number you see is the number you pay.
Your stops, your pace.
A private driver holds the car at every stop — you set the order, we handle the road.
The classic Katoomba lookout over the Jamison Valley. Your driver drops you at the viewing platform and waits — no parking scramble, no rush.
The steepest passenger railway in the world, plus the cableway and skyway across the gorge. We hold the car while you ride.
A tree-lined main street of cafés, galleries and antique shops — the obvious lunch stop between lookouts.
Quieter lookouts and short waterfall walks for travellers who want the valley without the Katoomba crowds.
A day in Blue Mountains.
The Blue Mountains sit about ninety minutes west of Sydney — a World Heritage escarpment of eucalypt forest, sandstone cliffs and deep valleys that drops away below Echo Point at Katoomba. The Three Sisters rock formation is the postcard, but the day has room for Scenic World's railway and cableway, the cafés and galleries of Leura, the waterfall walks at Wentworth Falls, and the rock pools and lookouts around Blackheath if you want to go further up the line. With a private driver for the day you set the order and the pace: a slow morning at the lookouts, lunch in Leura, an afternoon at Scenic World, home before dark. There is no train timetable to chase and no car to park at each stop. We carry the bags, hold the vehicle at every lookout, and know which driveways and viewing platforms are easiest to reach when the Katoomba car parks fill on a weekend.
Why a fixed day rate
A day in the mountains by metered taxi is a gamble — the meter runs at every lookout, in every queue at Scenic World, and on the slow climb back through Lawson when the fog comes down. Rideshare apps rarely accept a full-day mountain run at all, and when they do the price reshuffles every leg. A fixed day rate removes all of that: A$420 for a Premium Sedan, agreed before you leave Sydney, covering the drive up, the waiting at every stop, and the drive home. You are paying for a driver and a car for the day, not for kilometres and minutes. If the traffic is heavy on the M4 or you linger an extra half-hour at the Three Sisters, the fare does not move.
Timing & logistics
The drive from central Sydney to Katoomba is about an hour and a half each way via the M4 and the Great Western Highway. A comfortable day trip leaves Sydney mid-morning and is home by early evening, with five to six hours in the mountains in between. Weekend traffic on the M4 and mountain fog past Lawson can add time — we build a buffer in and the fixed fare does not change. Tell us your must-see stops when you book and we will sketch an order that fits the day.
One driver, one car, one price for the day.
Prices are fixed for the day's driving and waiting. SUV and people mover options cost more depending on your group, luggage and itinerary. Attraction entry, cruises and meals are not included. The day rate quoted at booking is the rate charged — no meter, no surge.

The honest answers.
What does the Blue Mountains day trip include?
A private driver and vehicle for the whole day at one fixed fare. We collect you in Sydney, drive to the Blue Mountains, hold the car at each stop while you explore — Echo Point, Scenic World, Leura, Wentworth Falls — and drive you home. The A$420 fixed fare covers the driving and the waiting; entry tickets (such as Scenic World) and meals are not included.
Is the A$420 fare really fixed for the whole day?
Yes. The day rate is locked in writing before you leave Sydney. It covers the drive up, the waiting at every lookout and attraction, and the drive home. Heavy weekend traffic on the M4 or extra time at a lookout does not change the fare. The number you see is the number you pay.
Can we choose our own stops and order?
Yes — it is your day. Tell us the stops that matter (the Three Sisters, Scenic World, Leura, a waterfall walk) and we will sketch an order that fits the time. You can change your mind on the day; the driver works to your pace, not a timetable.
How long is the day, and what time do you collect?
Most travellers leave Sydney mid-morning and are home by early evening — roughly five to six hours in the mountains between a 90-minute drive each way. We can start earlier for a longer day; tell us your preferred collection time when you book.
What vehicle will we travel in?
A clean, late-model premium vehicle — typically a Lexus or Toyota sedan (Lexus ES, Camry or similar) for one to four travellers. For larger groups or extra luggage we send a Premium SUV (Kluger, Lexus RX or similar) or a Kia Carnival or similar people mover. The exact vehicle is assigned by dispatch based on your group and availability.
Do you wait at each stop, or do we pay again for pickup?
We wait. A day trip is a single booking — the driver holds the car while you visit each lookout or attraction and is there when you come back. There is no second-pickup charge and no fresh fare for each leg. It is one car, one driver, one fixed price for the day.
How do we pay and what about the deposit?
A small A$10 deposit via Stripe secures the booking and goes towards your day rate — it is not an extra charge. The balance is settled on the day by card on file, in-vehicle EFTPOS or cash. The total never exceeds the fixed day rate quoted at booking.
