Hospital days are stressful enough without worrying about the fare. Our booking runs in four simple steps.
Your pickup address, the hospital, your appointment time and how many people are travelling. A carer or family member can book for you.
We send the fixed fare by SMS and email before the driver leaves, so you know the cost in advance.
A professional, ID-visible driver collects you and drops you at the hospital entrance for your department. No meter runs.
Pay the confirmed fare, or present the Cabcharge your provider issued. A digital receipt is emailed after the trip.
Cabcharge for Home-Care and NDIS Clients
We accept the Cabcharge card or docket your care provider, home-care package or case manager issues for transport. Present it to the driver on the day. Sydney Fixed Fare Taxi is not a registered NDIS provider and does not lodge government claims. The client or provider handles reimbursement through their own funding, and we supply a digital receipt for your records. For more detail see our NDIS transport, aged and home care transport and Cabcharge taxi pages.
A Fixed-Fare Taxi Booking Service
We are a taxi booking service, not a patient transport provider. Our drivers take you from your address to the hospital and back, and we do not provide medical care, clinical supervision or stretcher transport. Bookings are dispatched in late-model Lexus or Toyota premium vehicles where available, with SUV and People Mover options for carers, mobility aids and extra luggage. The vehicle is assigned based on passengers, luggage and availability, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles can be requested when you book. Drivers come from across Sydney's taxi networks, which helps us find a car for early appointments and regular runs.
Hospital Transport — FAQ
Are you a patient transport or medical transport provider?
No. Sydney Fixed Fare Taxi is a fixed-fare taxi booking service. We are not a non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) provider, we do not provide medical care or clinical supervision, and drivers are not medical staff. If you need a clinical escort or stretcher transport, arrange that through your hospital or health provider.
Do you accept Cabcharge for hospital trips?
Yes. We accept the Cabcharge card or docket your care provider, home-care package or case manager issues. Present it to the driver on the day. Your provider or the client handles any reimbursement through their own funding.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
No. We are not a registered NDIS provider and we do not lodge NDIS or government claims. Clients who are issued Cabcharge by their provider can pay with it, and we provide a digital receipt for your records.
How do I get a fixed fare for a hospital trip?
Use the Request Your Fixed Fare button or call us on 02 5301 0062 with your pickup address, the hospital and your appointment time. We send the fixed fare by SMS and email before the driver leaves. There is no meter.
Can I book regular trips for recurring appointments?
Yes. Patients who attend recurring appointments, such as dialysis or treatment cycles, can arrange regular bookings. Each trip is quoted as a fixed fare and confirmed before dispatch.
Can you take a wheelchair or mobility aid?
Wheelchair-accessible vehicles and People Mover options are available on request, subject to availability. Tell us about the mobility aid and any help needed at the door when you book, so the right vehicle is assigned.
