Cruise luggage from the Coast
Cruise luggage is heavier than airline luggage: big cases, hanging bags, a formal outfit or two, and a bag of snacks. That load is why we ask for luggage counts at booking. A premium SUV (Kluger, Lexus RX, RAV4 or similar) suits a couple with generous bags, and a people mover (Kia Carnival or similar) suits a group or a family, subject to availability. Vehicles are assigned by passengers, luggage and availability.
Timing your boarding
White Bay is on the Balmain peninsula, not far from the city. From Gosford the trip is roughly an hour and a half in normal traffic, but you should plan around your boarding window and the cruise line's check-in rules, which we cannot control. Check your boarding documents for the recommended arrival time and tell us when you want to be at the terminal. Early boarding slots can mean a pre-dawn pickup.
Cruise ships also use other Sydney terminals from time to time, so confirm which terminal your ship is using before you book.
Terminal details worth knowing
The White Bay Cruise Terminal is at Robert Street, Balmain. Traffic around the terminal can build on days when a ship is in port, so give yourself margin. Luggage handoff at the terminal follows the cruise line's arrangements, not ours.
See our other cruise pages such as Penrith to White Bay and Sydney CBD to White Bay for comparison.
Coming home from the cruise
The return leg from the terminal to the Central Coast can be booked separately. Disembarkation times vary with the ship, so we suggest booking the pickup once you know your disembark window. A return quote from the terminal is available on request.

Before you leave the Central Coast
Cruise day tends to bring more paperwork than a flight: boarding passes, passports, luggage tags and any health declarations your cruise line requires. Have them ready before the driver arrives, and attach luggage tags at home if the cruise line allows it. That way there is nothing to fiddle with at the kerb.
If you are travelling with a large group of friends or family from different Coast suburbs, tell us early. One or two larger vehicles are often simpler than several separate cars, and we can advise on the best combination for your numbers, subject to availability.
Before you book
Ships in Sydney use either White Bay or the Overseas Passenger Terminal, depending on the ship and the day. Check your cruise documents before booking.
Yes. Give us your address on the Central Coast and we quote a fixed fare from there.
It depends on the vehicle. Tell us the number of large bags and passengers and we assign a car with enough room, subject to availability.
Regional bookings outside Greater Sydney can carry a 12-hour minimum hold, which we confirm when quoting.
No. We are Sydney Fixed Fare Taxi, an independent booking service. We are not affiliated with any silver service taxi co-operative. Some customers look for a silver service style ride, meaning a clean, well-presented car and a professional driver, and want the price locked in before they travel instead of watching a meter. That is the alternative we offer.
